Farmington

Farmington is a quiet little neighborhood accessible via either Camp Road or Seccessionville Road. Many of the homes in Farmington are older brick ranches constructed in the 1960s with some newer homes built around 2000 interspersed. With its well-kept yards and walkable streets, Farmington real estate is typically priced at around $150,000–$220,000 — a perfect neighborhood for first-time homebuyers, young families and students (MUSC and the College of Charleston are less than 20 minutes away).

Folly Beach is only about a 15-minute drive from the Farmington neighborhood, and nearby amenities include a Gold’s Gym, a Food Lion grocery store, several pizza places and a Wal-Mart. Also close by are numerous schools and churches and several banks.

Folks who live in Farmington can access the James Island connector in about 10 minutes via either Folly Road or Harbor View Road. Traffic along Folly Road can get heavy at times, and the Dills Bluff Road–to–Harbor View Road way is a convenient alternate route to downtown Charleston, West Ashley and the rest of the Greater Charleston area.
