Belle Terre

Belle Terre is unique in that it is a new development on James Island. It is located on Parrot Point, which is the tip of Lighthouse Point, and overlooks Parrot Creek. The subdivision consists of 48 acres of high lots. Parrot Point (Bell Terre) is located off Fort Johnson Road behind the Parrot Creek neighborhood, and the area features views of Fort Sumter in the Charleton Harbor as well as the Sullivan’s Island Lighthouse. The area is zoned for 27 waterfront homesites, 1 interior homesite and a 15-acre nature preserve.

Very few homes have been built as of 2012, and most of the Bell Terre real estate available comes in the form of vacant lots. Bell Terre real estate is set to be classifies in the luxury category with a 3,300-square-foot model home built on a 0.67-acre lot. Exterior features include old-growth live oaks, docks, oyster-shell driveways, cement plank siding, lawn irrigation systems and spacious porches.

On the interior, the homes are set to have features, such as crown molding, wainscoting, oak or pine floors, stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, top-of-the-line plumbing fixtures and tiled bathrooms. The Bell Terre development is about 20–30 minutes from Folly Beach, and if you need to leave James Island, the connector is around a 15-minute drive from the neighborhood.
